Training Course - Enhancing National Minority Georgia

2021 / 04 / 26

On April 22, the Rondeli Foundation and OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities successfully completed the first part of the short-term training course "Enhancing National Minority Georgia".

Within the framework of the program, young people from ethnic minorities living in Georgia gained theoretical and practical knowledge on policy analysis, advocacy and lobbying, women's participation, research methods and disinformation. The participants also met with representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, the Office of the Ombudsman, the Central Election Commission and the OSCE.

The project built upon the previous cooperation of OSCE HCNM and GFSIS, continues to target the lack of social and political inclusion and the absence of healthy policy debate on the issues of national minorities, thus overall contributing to good governance practices. The joint program encourages national minority community representatives and youth residing in different regions of Georgia to engage more actively in the political and policy processes through capacity-building training, informal education and networking.
