2021 / 07 / 03

On June 29 graduation ceremony for the class of 2020 and welcoming reception for the new group of the program Capacity Building of the Georgian Leadership Community (CBGL) was held.

The president of the Rondeli Foundation Ekaterine Metreveli and First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia Ekaterine Dgebuadze congratulated graduates on the completion of the course and welcomed new participants. It is noteworthy that Ekaterine Dgebuadze herself is the graduate of one of the capacity building programs of the Rondeli Foundation in 2006.

The Series of Policy Documents 2020 were distributed among the participants and guests at the ceremony. Throughout a seven-month-program the participants in parallel to attending lectures individually developed policy documents. Like in preceding years, selected best 9 policy documents were published separately.

The Rondeli Foundation has been implementing CBGL program since 2009, with the support of the Swedish International Development Agency (Sida). The project aims at engaging with middle-level public servants and civil society representatives in policy development and negotiation skills. Over the years upto 300 public servants from different public agencies have participated in the program. Among the graduates are three former ministers and twenty former deputy ministers. Two alumni Giorgi Butkhuzi and Aleksandre Darakhvelidze currently hold the position of Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs.
