Graduation Ceremony of the RAND Advanced Security Studies Program

2007 / 04 / 23

On 23 April, 2007 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies honored the graduates of the fifth year of the RAND Advanced Security Studies Program. Twenty-two students, from Georgian government service and civil society, completed an intensive year-long program in economics, policy analysis and security studies.  The Ambassador of the United States to Georgia, Mr John Tefft, welcomed the graduates, and the president of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Dr Alexander Rondeli, conferred their certificates of graduation.

Supported by the US Department of State and led by the RAND Corporation, more than one hundred of the program’s graduates now hold leading positions in government, non-governmental and international organizations and many are working or continuing their graduate studies abroad.
