Program – “Enhancing Capacity of Ethnic Civil Society Groups to Actively Participate in Public Policy Debate” Launched

In February 2009 the new program “Enhancing Capacity of Ethnic Civil Society Groups to Actively Participate in Public Policy Debate” was launched. Program is supported by the Government of Finland and implemented by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies. The program will run for two years and aims to empower integration processes in Georgia through development of democracy and good governance in ethnic minority regions of the country and involving minority communities into the decision-making process. The program activities consisting of capacity building, policy formulation and public debates will be carried out with the participation of local community representatives in Kvemo Kartli and Samtskhe-Javakheti.
