Study Tour in Canada

On June 5 – 9, 2006  the study tour to Canada, Ottawa for Georgian government officials took place in the framework of the „Public Policy Knowledge Network“. The goal of the study tour was to promote capacity-building in human resource management,  throughout the Government of Georgia The focus was on the Canadian framework for human management support programs. Training demonstrated Canadian best practices in public sector human resource management.

Fifteen heads of  departments of human resources and senior officials  representing President’s Administration; the Parliament of Georgia; the Public Service Bureau and the ministries of: Environment and Natural Resources; Energy; Education and Science; Agriculture; Foreign Affairs; Internal Affairs; Labor, Health and Social Affairs; Justice; Defense; Finance; and Economic Development took part in the study tour.

The Public Policy Knowledge Network  is implemented in Georgia since 2003 by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, in collaboration with  the Canadian Bureau of International Education, and is   funded by  the Canadian International Development Agency.
