Graduation Ceremony of Ataturk Leadership Program
On December 1, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) hosted a graduation ceremony of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Leadership Program. Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia H.E. Zeki Levent Gümrükçü, Head of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) Mr.Mustafa Korkmaz, instructors and participants of the training program attended the ceremony. Overall, 30 public servants, journalists and representatives of academic circles were awarded certificates of completion by Ambassador Mr. Gümrükçü.
The seven-month-long intensive training sessions of Ataturk Leadership Program started in May 2015. Within the framework of the program, the participants went through theoretical and practical seminars delivered by GFSIS in-house and invited speakers on the topics of diplomacy, foreign policy, national security, strategy, economy, information warfare, etc.
Mustafa Kemal Ataturk Leadership Program was initiated in 2013. Totally 65 participants, three cohorts, have graduated the training. The Project aims at building and strengthening leadership skills amongst the junior and mid level public servants of Georgia. In addition, it also supports the further development of Georgian-Turkish partnership. The Project is implemented by GFSIS, with the financial support of Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA).
