Training Program for Journalists in Economy, Geopolitics and Political Ideologies

On June 2, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies launched the Training Course for Journalists in Economy, Geopolitics and Political Ideologies, implemented with the financial support of “JTI Caucasus”. 

Ovidiu Cernei, Director of Corporate Affairs and Communications at "JTI Caucasus" greeted the participants and outlined that well informed journalists will better monitor the economic and geo-political developments.

Professor of Mass Communication at the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), Maia Mikashavidze delivered a lecture on Mass Media and Political Leverages.  

Within the framework of  the two month training course, young journalists representing various media outlets will increase their theoretical and practical knowledge in Economics and Finances, Foreign Trade, European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Foreign Policy, National Security, Mass Media and  Political Communication and Political Ideologies.  

Recent training program is already the fifth project implemented by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies in cooperation with “JTI Caucasus”.
