Information and Communications Technology Training

On May 8-10, 2008 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a three-day training in information and communications technology. The event was held in the framework of joint the project of the Georgian foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Latvian Information and Communications Technology Association – (LIKTA), and UNDP- Georgia. The aim of the training was to facilitate information society and diminish digital gap in Georgia.

The target group was instructors that after training will use the skills acquired for information and communications technology training and consultations to population in Georgia. Within the project implementation well-equipped training classroom, with 11 powerful PCs, with fast Internet connection, necessary software, a projector, and a printer, was provided. 6 lecture and one seminar were offered to trainees according to timetable covering E-services and Internet resources in Georgia and other relevant local content, as well as other themes as agreed with LIKTA.
