Seminars on Tourism Development for Local Entrepreneurs in Mountainous Regions of Georgia
On 15-19 April Rondeli Foundation in partnership with Jaan Tonisson Institute, Estonia organized seminars on tourism development for local entrepreneurs in Pankisi, Akhalkalaki and Khulo. During the seminars Estonian and Georgian experts discussed topics including entrepreneurship and tourism in Georgia, rural tourism, service design and management, projects and funding opportunities (finding partners, project writing, etc.). Additionally, practical exercises and discussions were organized.
The seminars are conducted under the framework of the project: “Supporting the Economic Development of Georgian Rural Areas” with the financial support of the Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs from the funds of development cooperation and humanitarian aid. The project aims to support the economic development of Georgian rural areas - Mountainous Ajaria, Javakheti and Pankisi Gorge, by decreasing the socioeconomic disparities between Georgian regions and increasing their welfare.
