Visit of the Prime Minister of Lithuania

On February 2, 2007 the Prime Minister of Lithuania, Mr. Gediminas Kirkilas visited the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies. He gave the speech about the challenges and opportunities of integration into Euro-Atlantic institutions. The Prime Minister Kirkilas' presentation was focused on Lithuania's experience in Euro-Atlantic integration and parallels with Georgia's own efforts to join NATO and the European Union. A Q. & A. session followed in which Prime Minister Kirkilas advised patience, diplomacy, peace, and determined pursuit of Euro-Atlantic integration as the best course to overcoming the obstacles that Georgia faces in its relations with Russia.
