Round-Table on Georgian- Russian Relations

On November 27, 2004, the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies   hosted a round-table discussion on the prospects for Georgian- Russian relations. The discussion included eight Georgian, five Russian, and two international experts.   

Leading Russian analysts visited Tbilisi for informal exploratory sessions about Georgian-Russian relations. The round-table was concerned with such important topics as the past and present of Georgian-Russian relations; Georgia, Russia and regional security;   possible future actions and the role of civil society to overcome negative trends. At the end of the event, the participants also discussed the arrangement of future meetings.  The meeting lasted for two days.
