Public Discussion in Akhalkalaki on the integration of Finland into EU

On November 28, 2013 Ambassador of Finland H.E. Christer Michelsson visited the regional Public Policy Unit (PPU) of GFSIS in Akhalkalaki, Samtskhe-Javakheti to meet the local community and conduct the lecture on the integration of Finland into EU and the issues of language minorities there: The audience was comprised of the local community leaders, civil society, media, and government representatives of the region.  

The lecture was held under the project Supporting Civic Integration in Georgia, funded by the government of Finland.  The aim of the project is to forge a common understanding and vision of the Georgian state among the citizens of Georgia despite their ethnic origin and to promote a national integration process in line with the principles of modern, democratic state.
