Visit of the China Institute of International Studies Delegation

On October 17, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a meeting between the delegation of China Institute of International Studies (CIIS) and Senior Fellows of the Foundation – Giorgi Targamadze, Shota Utiashvili as well as Irakli Mengarishvili, Chairman of the Strategic Research Center.

The topic of the meeting was promotion of strengthening the relations between Georgia and China. During the meeting, the parties discussed the future prospects of the Georgia-China relations, shared their views and interests in the issues such as economy, politics, security also, foreign trade relations under the framework of the project “One Belt, One Road”. Furthermore, the parties agreed to sign the cooperation memorandum that will enhance the closer partnership and the collaboration between China and Georgia in planning international conferences, implementation of the joint projects, etc.
