  • Today is the third day of protest in the main cities of Iran. Security forces are trying to stave off protests;
  • Iran announces several arrests on charges of involvement in the crash of a Ukrainian plane
  • Negotiations in Moscow between the rival leaders of Libya ended without signing a ceasefire agreement 
  • Turkish President Erdogan blames Putin for the actions of the Libyan rebel Haftar during negotiations in Moscow, announcing that if the situation deteriorates Ankara is ready to get involved in Libya, as it formerly is a part of Turkey’s Ottoman Empire, and its people are the descendants of the Janissaries, therefore Turkey should protect them. 
  • After unsuccessful peace talks, hostilities in Libya resumed. The rebels restarted attacks on the government forces; 
  • Anti-government protests in Baghdad and other cities in the Iraqi capital continue;
  • Supporters of Assad regime keep on bombing the Syrian province of Idlib;
