The Celebration of Europe Day in Batumi

On May 9, 2004 the event “Europe Day” was held at Batumi State University. Mr.Kakha Gogolashvili, EU Studies Team leader from the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies participated in the celebration of the event. The event was attended by some high-level guests: President of Georgia, Minister of Interior Affairs, State Minister for EU Integration and Ambassadors of EU Member States to Georgia. The guests delivered solemn speeches to the audience.

During the event, Mr. Gogolashvili also presented his speech that concerned geopolitical aspects of the EU enlargement and discussed Georgia’s foreign policy objectives in the framework of EU-Georgia rapprochement.
