Armenian Ambassador speaks positively of China    

On October 26, Chinese state-controlled Xinhua published comments by the Armenian Ambassador to China Sergey Manassarian where he speaks positively of China.

He said that China's Belt and Road Initiative aimed to push forward the economic, social, and cultural development of countries and regions along its route. The report also said that Manassarian spoke highly of China's foreign policy objectives while bringing the Belt and Road Initiative as an example.

"I believe that with the continuous implementation of the Belt and Road initiative, the well-being of people in the countries and regions along the route will also be further improved," the Ambassador said.

Reportedly, Manasaryan also expressed the expectation that at the new starting point, the convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China would inject more powerful impetus into the cooperation between the two countries.

According to the News.am November 4 report, the Chairman of the Standing Committee on Protection of Human Rights and Public Affairs of the National Assembly of Armenia, Taguhi Tovmasyan, hosted the Chinese Ambassador Yong Fan in the National Assembly.

"The issues of developing Armenia-China cooperation in the field of human rights were the core of the discussion to promote the progress in the process of solving sphere problems in Armenia," Tovmasyan wrote according to the report.

She congratulated the Ambassador on the "re-election" of Xi Jinping as General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Chinese Communist Party. Tovmasyan also thanked him for supporting the Armenians.

"I underlined the existence of not only an economic but also a civilizational component of the cooperation, and my willingness for contacts on humanitarian issues. I offered to organize Chinese language training, especially in provinces, needing our attention more than ever," Tovmasyan wrote.

Reportedly, Yong Fan touched upon the "steps undertaken to overcome poverty in China, as a result of which tangible progress in the protection of human rights was achieved: modernization took place: they took into account the experience of different countries, but followed the Chinese path". He expressed readiness to share the Chinese experience with them. The Ambassador also said that China supported the Armenians, always showed willingness to respond to their needs, and would be glad to give necessary assistance to Armenia.

On November 1, the Head of the Administration of the President of Georgia, Natia Sulava, met with the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia, Zhou Qian, the Chinese Embassy reported. Reportedly, the two sides exchanged views on bilateral relations, high-level contacts, and other issues.

Ambassador Zhou introduced the main achievements and "great significance" of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and expressed his willingness to take the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Georgia as an opportunity "to continuously push forward the development of China-Georgia relations and pragmatic cooperation in various fields".

According to the report, Sulava congratulated the Ambassador on the successful closing of the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party and expressed willingness to work with China to push forward high-level contacts between China and Georgia, "consolidate political mutual trust, and benefit the two countries and the two peoples with more pragmatic cooperation results".

While discussing the 20th National Congress of the Chinese Communist Party, he said that China would share the experience of Chinese-style modernization and development opportunities with all countries, especially developing countries, including Georgia.

 

Azerbaijan's SMBDA representative says exhibition in Baku is a great opportunity for cooperation development between Azerbaijani and Chinese businesses

Baku Expo Center is hosting an exhibition dedicated to showcasing Chinese products, Azernews reported on October 31. At the opening ceremony of the exhibition, Azerbaijan's Small and Medium Business Development Agency (SMBDA) Board Chairman Orkhan Mammadov said that the exhibition was a good opportunity for the development of trade relations and cooperation between Azerbaijani and Chinese businesses.

On November 2, the Georgian Ambassador to China Archil Kalandia delivered a speech at the forum "JD.com's 2nd Ambassadors Forum" which was organized by JD.com, reportedly a large Chinese internet platform, the Chinese Embassy in Georgia reported. The event was held in Beijing.

According to the report, Kalandia spoke about the importance of continuous stimulation of trade and economic cooperation between Georgia and China, and the need to use the free trade agreement between the two countries even more effectively.

JD.com awarded the Ambassador with a certificate of appreciation for his special contribution to promoting the growth of the export of Georgian products to China.
