This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

The reported period saw more numerous Ukrainian attacks and territorial gains than ever since the beginning of the Russian offensive on 24 February.

Kyiv-Chernihiv Area

Ukrainian forces made territorial gains while hitting retreating Russians with artillery, and in some cases defeating them in maneuver combat before they could retreat.

Ukrainians liberated the Russian-occupied part of the Kyiv-Zhytomyr highway and villages in that area. Then they attacked to the north of the highway, regaining territory there as well. As of the afternoon of 1 April, Ukrainians took back large areas including the towns of Hostomel, Ivankiv, Demydiv, Dymer and many others.

Ukrainians successfully advanced east of Kyiv and Brovary too, regaining territory including the town of Nova Basan and numerous villages.

To the south of Chernihiv, Ukrainians lifted the Russian siege of this city after pushing Russians from the Kyiv road and surrounding villages.
