This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

Donbas Area – North and Izyum Area

Fighting without major territorial changes continued on the line of Dmytrivka, Virnopillya, Nova Dmytrivka, Dibrovne, Mazanivka, Dolyna, and the area between Pasika and Bohorodychne.

To the east, notable fighting resumed after a long pause in the area south of Lyman taking place near Staryi Karavan village.

Static shot from the Russo-Ukrainian War interactive map, Donbas Area – North and Izyum Area as of the afternoon 26 August 2022. All information on the maps is approximate.

Donbas Area – Northeast

Russians tried to attack towards Hryhorivka, and on the section of the front southwest of Spirne, without success.

Heavy street fighting continued within the town of Soledar and the village of Yakovlivka. Fighting also went on within Bakhmutske and near the eastern outskirts of Bakhmut city.

South of Bakhmut, Russians failed in their attempts to attack Kodema, both villages named Zaitseve, and Maiorsk. After the previously reported capture of Dacha, Russians attempted to advance from there towards Kurdyumivka without success.

Donbas Area – Southeast

Russian attempts to advance on the flanks of Avdiivka remained unsuccessful.

Following the previously reported Russian capture of Pisky, the village appeared to be actually contested. Russians failed in their attempts to advance in the area southwest of Pisky.

Heavy fighting resumed within Mar’inka with results unclear at the time of writing.

Donbas Area – South and Zaporizhzhia Area

Fighting without major territorial changes occurred on the line of Ukrainian-controlled villages Volodymyrivka, Pavlivka, Zolota Nyva and Velyka Novosilka.

Black Sea Area

Russians unsuccessfully attempted to advance towards Tavrijske from two sides – from Oleksandrivka and from Pravdyne (which had been retaken by Russians at some point after early July).

Russians’ previously reported attack on Blahodatne (the northern one, not to be confused with the one northwest of Kherson city) resulted in them capturing the village. Their attempts to advance from there towards the nearby Partyzanske failed.

In the north, Russians tried and failed to advance towards Mykolaivka.

Kharkiv Area

Fighting without major territorial changes occurred north of village Petrivka.
