Donbas Area Russians forces took Vojevodivka after heavy fighting, cutting off Rubizhne from Severodonetsk. As a consequence, Ukrainian forces withdrew from the part of Rubizhne that had remained under their control to avoid being surrounded. After a two months-long battle Russians managed to establish control over Rubizhne. To the west of Severodonetsk, the Russian attempt to cross the Siverskyi Donets River near Bilohorivka ended in disaster with Russians sustaining heavy losses. Fighting was also reported northwest of Severodonetsk, in Pryvillya village. The Russian forces that had taken Popasna attempted to advance in the northern direction meeting Ukrainian defenses there. Consequently, fighting was reported in the area of villages Oleksandropillia, Komyshuvakha and Katerynivka. In the area north of Slavyansk, Russians achieved a limited advance taking the village of Shandryholove. No major changes occurred in the central and southern parts of the Donbas frontline despite continued Russian attacks there.
Siege of Mariupol Heavy fighting continued at the Azovstal plant as Russians kept trying to assault the Ukrainian citadel there.
Kharkiv Area Ukrainian advances during the reported period included liberation of Pytomnik village located north of Kharkiv and Ruska Lozova, and liberation of Ternova located 2 kilometers from the Russian border. Kharkiv area, 13 May
