This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

Donbas Area - Northeast

Ukrainian forces removed Russians from the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway which, however, remains under constant Russian fire.

Russians continued to move towards Bakhmut from the east and southeast advancing a little west from the previously taken village of Pylypchatyne, and taking villages Midna Ruda and Klynove.

Heavy fighting continued on the northern outskirts of Severodonetsk as well as along the whole frontline in this area.

Static shot from the Russo-Ukrainian War interactive map, Donbas Area - Northeast as of the noon 27 May. All information on the maps is approximate.

Donbas Area - North

Russian forces took the town of Lyman after a three-day assault.

Notably, Lyman is located north of the Syverskyi Donets River where Russian advantage at the moment is overwhelming and Ukrainians control little territory. The major issue however, both for the possible encirclement of Severodonetsk-Lysychansk and for the possible Russian advance on Slovyansk from the north, is whether Russians are able to cross Syverskyi Donets successfully.

Kharkiv Area

Ukrainian forces once again retook the village of Ternova.

No major changes occurred in Donbas Area – Southeast, Donbas Area – South, Zaporizhzhia and Black Sea areas.
