This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.
Donbas Area – Northeast Heavy fighting continued in the streets of Severodonetsk without reported major changes. Southeast of the city, Russians once again captured Metolkine which previously had been retaken by Ukrainians through a counterattack. Russians also appeared to have taken Vrubivka which had been a scene of heavy fighting within the village during the previous period. Other Russian attacks near the Bakhmut-Lysychansk highway were repelled by Ukrainians.
Donbas Area – North Heavy fighting went on in the town of Bohorodychne which remained divided between the two sides, as well as for the Ukrainian-controlled nearby villages of Dolyna and Krasnopillya. Fighting also continued in the area of the Ukrainian counterattack west of Izyum where Russians were reported to send reinforcements from the front north of Slovyansk in order to cover their logistical and command hub in Izyum.

Black Sea Area The two sides exchanged attacks and counterattacks northwest of Kherson where Ukrainians liberated Zelenyi Hai while Russians retook Pravdyne. Fighting also continued in many other parts of the Kherson front.
Zaporizhzhia Area A limited Ukrainian advance was reported in this area although its precise location was unclear at the time of writing.
No major territorial changes occurred in Donbas Area – Southeast, Donbas Area – South and Kharkiv Area. |
