Black Sea Area

In the afternoon of 29 August, Ukrainians launched offensive operations along the frontline in this area. The resulting intense fighting has continued since.

Fighting engulfed the northeastern half of the frontline from Andriivka on the Inhulets River to Zolota Balka on the Dnipro River. Ukrainians punctured Russian defense in the areas of villages Sukhyi Stavok, Novodmytrivka, Arkhangelske, Olhyne and Zolota Balka. Reports regarding Ukrainian control of the named villages appeared, but fighting seemed to be dynamic and territorial control was difficult to ascertain behind the fog of war.

Ukrainians also attacked northwest from Kherson. They likely took Pravdyne and Ternovi Pody, and fighting was intense at other sections of the frontline too, including near Oleksandrivka on the coast as well as between Blahodatne and Kyselivka.
