Kursk Area On 6 August, Ukrainians launched offensive operations in Kursk Oblast. They advanced in the direction of the town of Sudzha, taking village Gogolevka, and approaching or entering village Goncharovka located directly west of Sudzha. Fighting and Ukrainian advance were also reported to the southwest, around village Oleshnya. Ukrainians also advanced northwest of the Sudzha area, taking villages Nikolaevo-Dar’ino, Dar’ino, Sverdlikovo, Lebedevka, Nizhnii Klin, Obukhovka, Pokrovskii, Tolstyi Lug, Liubimovka, Zelenyi Shlyakh, and entering villages Leonidovo and Aleksandriya.
Kharkiv Area Fighting in the area remained intense but did not result in major changes during the reported period.
Svatove-Starobilsk Area and Donbas Area – North Ukrainians pushed Russians back a little between villages Nadiya and Serhiivka. Otherwise, fighting in the areas continued without major territorial changes.
Donbas Area – Northeast No major territorial changes in the area came to light during the reported period. Situation in the area of village Spirne following the recent Russian capture of village Ivano-Darivka remained unclear.
Toretsk-Kostyantynivka Area Russians conducted attempts to advance deeper into the eastern part of Chasiv Yar by crossing the channel that hinders their offensive in the area. Situation on the channel crossings was fluid with mutual attacks and counterattacks by the two sides. Russians achieved a number of advances in various parts of the Druzhba-Pivnichne-Zalizne urban area located directly east of the city of Toretsk. They also advanced within the town of Niu-York, particularly in its western part. Ukrainians counterattacked in the central part of the town, pushing Russians back a little. Heavy street fighting in the town continued at the time of writing. Southwest of Niu-York, Russians advanced in the direction of village Panteleimonivka.
Donbas Area – Southeast Russians took village Tymofiivka, approached village Lysychne from the east, and entered village Ivanivka within which the fighting continued according to information available at the time of writing. West of Prohres, Russians took village Vesele. They also continued to advance southwest of it, moving forward between Serhiivka and Zhelanne, and launching attacks into both these villages. They also advanced east of Zhelanne, and attacked from Novoselivka Persha toward Mezhove. To the south, Russians likely completed the capture of village Yasnobrodivka. In the area west of Novomykhailivka, fighting continued on the southeastern outskirts of Kostyantynivka.
Zaporizhzhia Area and Donbas Area – South Russians advanced a little further north of Urozhaine. A Ukrainian retreat was noted in the area east of Robotyne.
Black Sea-Dnipro River Area Fighting in the area continued without major changes. |
