Workshop – “Transatlantic Values – What are the Consequences for our Models of Governance?”

On October 11, 2010 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies launched a two-day workshop –  “Transatlantic Values – What are the Consequences for our Models of Governance?”. The workshop was co-organized by the Atlantic Council of Georgia and the Atlantic Council of Norway, DNAK. The workshop participants included members of the Azerbaijan and Armenian Atlantic Associations, experts on security and defense issues, journalists, government officials and students.

The main topics discussed were the regional security challenges and the role of NATO and Euro-Atlantic Partnership, transatlantic values and new approaches to civic education in the South Caucasus and democratic control over the defense and security sector.
