Public Policy Knowledge Network Program’s 2005-2006 Fellows Graduation Ceremony

On October 12, 2006 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted the graduation ceremony and reception for the program Public Policy Knowledge Network. The project is managed by the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies  in partnership with the Canadian Bureau for International Education. This year, the program hosted its third graduation for participants.

The graduation ceremony was opened by the  President of Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Dr. Alexander Rondeli. Speeches were given by Dr. Colin Dodds, President of St. Mary's University, Halifax, Nova Scotia; Mrs. Kristina Wittfooth, Vice-President of International Development Programs at the Canadian Bureau for International Education; and Mr. Peter Mamradze, Head of the Prime Minister's Administration.

The Public Policy Knowledge Network  launched in 2003, and aims at building public policy capacity within the Government of Georgia, by training its public servants in policy analysis.  So far, over 70 public servants have graduated from the program; another 32 participants, from 13 governmental agencies, are currently taking part.
