Graduation Ceremony of the Course “European Integration”

On May 8, 2007 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted the graduation ceremony of the 4th cycle of trainees of the Course – “European Integration”. The course was organized under the aegis of the project "Raising Awareness about European Union in Georgia". The project is developed under the call for proposals by the European Commission's Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, Erasmus, Jean Monnet.

Certificates were awarded to participants by ambassador Per Eklund, head of the EU Commission Delegation to Georgia and Armenia as well as by the President of the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Dr. Alexander Rondeli.

The project has passed a two year milestone and trained more than 90 participants on the core issues of European Integration, such as history of EU integration, institutions and Policies of the EU, Enlargement cycles of the EU and contemporary issues, such as Neighborhood policy as well as EU Georgia relations.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness about EU integration processes in the country through trainings (in Tbilisi and different regions of the country) and publications.
