Lecture of Aka Morchiladze for Williams College Students

On January 12, 2016 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted the seminar for the students of Williams College. The lecture was delivered by a prominent Georgian writer and a historian Giorgi Akhvlediani (Aka Morchiladze).

The presenter made a brief overview of the history, culture and religion of Georgia. He also discussed some relatively unknown historical facts and events. The lecture was followed by the Q&A session.

The abovementioned lecture was conducted in the framework of a three-week-long internship program for the students of Williams College, interested in Georgian history, culture and politics. The scope of the abovementioned program provides internship opportunities in various areas as well as includes a study visit to Georgia.

The program has been operating in different forms since 1987.
