The course in Policy Analysis by Amb. Giorgi Badridze

Between December 10- 20 GFSIS Senior Fellow, Amb. Giorgi Badridzeconducted the course in Policy Analysis for the local representatives of the villages Nasakirali in Guria, and Khulo municipality in Mountainous Adjara. The audience consisted of the local activists, school teachers and principals, as well as representatives of the local municipalities, local assembly (Sakrebulo) and resource center.

The lectures were conducted in the framework of the project Supporting Participatory and Inclusive Governance in Mountainous Guria and Adjara supported by the UK Good Governance Fund, British Embassy Tbilisi. The purpose of the project is set to address the issue of non-inclusive local governance in Mountainous Guria and Adjara, that contributes to the disenfranchisement of local communities which in turn leaves them more vulnerable to outside propaganda and influences. The project takes a holistic approach by working with the local and central governments, key local influencers and on women empowerment in the communities. The program also aims to raise the awareness of local youth on nation-wide issues and empowering them separately through informal education and activities.
