Visit of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly Members

On April 21, 2007 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a meeting of NATO Parliamentary Assembly members with representatives of Georgian NGOs and civil society. The event was part of 65th Rose-Roth Seminar - "Georgia towards Euro-Atlantic Integration”, organized by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, in cooperation with the Parliament of Georgia.

The high-ranking guests discussed the performance and prospects of current reforms in Georgia with three keynote speakers Alexander Rondeli, President of Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, Irakli Menagarishvili, Chairman of Atlantic Council of Georgia, David Darchiashvili, Executive Director of Open Society - Georgia Foundation, and other distinguished members of the Georgian NGO sector.

The Rose-Roth Seminar lasted three days and comprised of four sessions: Georgia in Its Regional Context, South Caucasus Relations with the European Union and NATO, Unresolved Conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and Economic and Democratic Transition in Georgia.
