Discussion – „US Presidential Primary Elections”

On February 8, 2008 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies hosted a panel discussion - “US Presidential Primary Elections”.  David J. Smith, Director of the Georgian Security Analysis Center, spoke about the primary process; Stephen Guice, Press Attache at the US Embassy, discussed the history of party nominations in the US; and Jonathan Kulick, Director of Studies at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies, reviewed the current candidates and their campaign strategies.  All agreed that the process is complicated and confusing, but that it functions well nonetheless.
