Discussion on “Multilateral Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe"

On February 19, 2016 Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS) hosted a discussion “Multilateral Cooperation in South-Eastern Europe: the current situation and prospects”. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Valeri Chechelashvili, Senior Fellow and Dr. Eka Metreveli, president, GFSIS.  Representatives of non-governmental organizations, high-ranking public officials as well as independent experts participated in the discussion.

Participants emphasized the necessity of establishment of “the united and undivided security” principle in international practice and underlined the importance of a comprehensive dialogue to achieve the above cited.  During the discussion, the establishment of the new multilateral cooperation that would contribute to the strengthening of the regional stability and the process of achieving Georgia’s foreign policy priorities was highlighted.
