Graduation Ceremony of the Training Course “European Integration”

On March 20, 2009 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies held a graduation ceremony of the 5th cycle of trainees of the Course - European Integration, organized under the aegis of a project "Raising Awareness about European Union in Georgia". The project is developed under the call for proposals by the European Commission's integration Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency, Erasmus, Jean Monnet.

H.E. Ambassador Per Eklund, Head of the EU Commission Delegation to Georgia visited the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies for the ceremony. The President of the Foundation Dr. Alexander Rondeli and his Excellency, Ambassador Eklund have formally conferred certificates upon the 5th group of program participants.

The project now counts the three year-long milestone and has trained around 150 participants on the core issues of European Integration, such as the history of EU integration, Institutions and Policies of the EU, Enlargement cycles of the EU and contemporary issues, such as Neighborhood policy as well as EU-Georgia relations.

The aim of the project is to raise awareness about EU integration processes in the country through trainings and publications.
