Discussion on Deoccupation of Ukraine and Georgia

Together with the Ukrainian Embassy in Georgia the Rondeli foundation hosted a discussion on the sixth anniversary of the Russian annexation of Crimea on the topic 'De-occupation joint efforts of Ukraine and Georgia'.

The purpose of the event was to discuss the situation in the occupied territories of Ukraine and Georgia. The Kremlin’s former political prisoner Oleg Sentsov took part in the discussion with Nariman Ustaev Crimean Tatars' human rights activist, Anton Korynevych, the Permanent Representative of the President of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as well as the representatives of the Foreign Ministry and State Minister of Georgia for Reconciliation and Civic Equality. Rondeli Foundation’s president Ekaterine Metreveli moderated the discussion.

At the end of the discussion, the floor was open to questions from the audience. Guests from the governmental and non-governmental sectors, diplomatic missions and international organizations, as well as research institutes and the media, had the opportunity to receive answers regarding the Ukrainian and Georgian views on the de-occupation of Georgia and Ukraine.
