European Neighborhood Policy Action Plan (ENP AP) Civic monitoring in Georgia

Description of project goal and specific objectives: The goal of the project was to ensure independent and qualified evolution of GoG’s progress in ENP AP implementation in order to raise public’s awareness on the issue and facilitated it’s active engagement in the processes.

The objective of the project was to provide unbiased overview of the measures carried out by the GoG in 2010 in the filled of Trade and other trade-related areas, such as Investment, Customs Procedures, Sanitary and Phyto-Sanitary Control and Public Procurement. The reforms were assessed in the context of ANP AP implementation and Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement (DCFTA) preparatory work.

Project Description: The activities included study and analyses of the available analytical and statistical data, as well as normative acts adopted during the reporting period. The interviews with representatives of governmental bodies, nongovernmental and business organizations and filed experts were conducted. On the bases of collected information the report and respective recommendations were elaborated.

Project outcomes:  As a result of the project a comprehensive 2010’s Report on ENP AP Implementation in Trade and related Areas was elaborated.
