GFSIS small grants program “Civil Society Integration in Georgia” .

The Projects funded through the GFSIS small grants program “Civil Society Integration in Georgia” .  

The Small Grants program has been implemented since 2012 through the financial assistance of the Government of Finland. 

Enhancing Inclusion of Women in the Electoral Processes – Samtskhe – Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli 

The project “Enhancing Inclusion of Women in the Electoral Processes in Samtskhe - Javakheti and Kvemo Kartli” was implemented by the Civil Society and Democracy Development Centre (CSDDC). The project aimed to improve the electoral culture in Georgia, by enhancing the knowledge of the potential voters and empowering the female citizens representing different ethnicities of Georgia.

Tolerance – A Way to People’s Wellfare 

The project “ Tolerance – a way to People’s Wellfare” was implemented by the “Shaumiani Community Education Centre” (SCEC). The project aimed to contribute to improvement of interethnic relations within the society of the village of Shaumiani and to enhance the cultural self-identification process among the local ethnic communities. 

My Georgia is Here

The project “My Georgia is Here” was implemented by the “Group of Georgian Missioners Integrali”. Project aimed to introduce to the participants -– the schoolchildren from village Sadakhlo (Marneuli) and Gurjaani- different cultures and traditions of various ethnic minority communities. The project also intended to help in overcoming the alienation among the different ethnic groups and creation the atmosphere of tolerance.

New Knowledge – New Opportunities 

The project  “New Knowledge – New Opportunities”  was implemented by “Women for Future of Javakheti”. The aim of the project was to enhance skills of the representatives of Akhlalkalaki municipality in the Georgian language and basics of public administration.

Validity Through Eyes

The project “Validity Through Eyes”  was implemented by the “Ninotsminda Community Radio TV Nor”. Within the scope of the project four female journalists from Ninotsminda and Akhalkalaki would write articles and produce internet news videos designed to facilitate cultural integration of youth of Samtskhe-Javakheti region.
